Ramee
Nope, it isn't that dinosaur 🦖 🦕 with the flappy face that chased down Newman in Jurassic Park...it's
Ramee looking styling in his cone! 🥰
He's ready to start accepting Adoption Applications!
Ramee here has had quite the healing journey, but he's doing so well ❤️🩹 and ready to get into the loving home of his Forever Family ❤️
🌎Located: St. Albert
Breed Best Guess: Standard Poodle Cross
Weight: 21 Kg.
✅ Good with Dogs
✅ Good with kids 6+
❓Unsure about cats, his foster home has a cat who disappears when Ramee is near but Ramee barks in a way that seems like he wants to play with the cat.
More from Ramee's Foster Home:
Ramee has an abundance of energy and wants to please. He is my shadow around the house and dislikes being apart. I am trying to leave him alone for short periods and he does eventually settle. He is kennel trained for bedtime without any problems. Completely house trained, has not had any “accidents” for weeks: he goes to the door and barks.
Ramee and I are working on pulling on the leash while walking and reaction to other dogs (he loves to greet other dogs and people-but he is a wee bit intimidating)
He still gets a wee bit excited and jumps up on people, and he can be over exuberant with toys.
🥰He is the best cuddler and will stay beside you on the couch with an occasional reminder to tickle the chest/tummy.
🏨🏥👩🏻⚕️ Ramee's Medical Situation:
Ramee broke both his front legs in May. He had plates and screws put in to heal them.
In August he had surgery and a plate was removed as it was causing more harm than good to his leg as he was limping and licking at it. His leg was mostly healed, so it was okay to be removed.
He still has one plate in one leg, none in the other.
He is healing and back to walking on a leash 2-3 times a day at 15 minute intervals, which he is tolerating well. He no longer walks with a limp.
He will still need reduced activity for another month or so. He will need his family to keep an eye on him as he ages, to watch for any issues, including arthritis. He would benefit from bone and joint supplements as well.
