Bear
Meet Bear 🤎
Bear is a gentle sweetheart who seems mighty grateful to finally have a place to call home. He’s polite, eager to please, and picks things up quick. When it’s time to wind down, he’s usually the first one ready to watch a little TV.
He likes to stay close to his person, often resting a paw nearby, and at night he settles himself on the floor beside the bed. Bear loves sitting out in the snow, quietly watching the birds go by — just taking it all in.
He’s had no accidents, eats well, and isn’t picky one bit. All in all, Bear is a low-maintenance, easy-going boy who’d fit right in with a calm, loving home.
If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a gentle soul, Bear just might be your guy 🐕🤍
⛑️🗯️Note: Bear was seen at Windermere Veterinary Clinic for a small puncture wound on his cheek, likely a bite? He’s on antibiotics and doing well. He’ll need warm compresses for a short time and a recheck to make sure it’s healing properly.
Estimated Age: 9 months – 1 year 🐶
Weight: 22.5 kg ⚖️

Benny
Big ol' Benny 💙 a senior boy with lots of love to give! 💙
Benny is a senior of approximately 13 years of age.
Our best guess is that he's a Pug Mix.
📍Location:
Edmonton (Windermere area)
Approximate Size:
About 40-45 pounds of slightly chunky, very huggable perfection
Good with Kids:👦🏻

Good with Dogs:🐩

Good with Cats: 😸

Are you looking for the sweetest certified couch potato?
Benny may be your guy!
This handsome senior boy is a gentle soul. He is easygoing and gets along with everyone and anything he meets.
Benny's favourite things include long naps, cuddles, evening walks, food time and being close to his humans. He bonds deeply with his people and would do best in a calm home where he is not left alone all day.
Benny came from a hoarding situation and finds comfort in being around others. While he does not need another pet to be happy, he enjoys sharing space with the dogs and cats in his foster home and often chooses to rest nearby.
He does not like closed spaces, likely due to his past, and does best free roaming rather than being crated or in a closed space.
At his age, Benny does need bathroom breaks a bit more often than a younger dog and would benefit from being in a home where he can be provided a flexible schedule.
Benny has a collapsed trachea that is managed with medication. 💊 This simply means he will need an adopter who can continue his care and support him through his golden years. ** He will likely need a dental once his weight and trachea issues have been managed…this will be at the cost of the future adopter.
He is comfortable, happy and very much enjoying life.
Benny is looking for his forever retirement home, a calm and loving place where he can nap, cuddle and have the happily ever after he truly deserves.
Like many seniors, this dog(s) may experience age-related health changes in the future and will need an adopter ready to support them through their golden years. ✨

Tux
🤵🏻♂️ Dressed to Impress 🤵🏻♂️
Tux, is here to whisk you away, wine 🍷 you, dine 🍝 you and ride off into the sunset 🌇 with you.
Not really... he's a dog. But, he will love you, snuggle you and bring you joy!
Age: About 4 months
Breed: terrier, bully breed mix (foster also thinks maybe some border collie)
Location: SW Edmonton 📍
Approximate Size: Currently 15 lbs (likely will be a medium to a large sized dog)
Good with kids❓
Loves kids - especially rambunctious kids!
Good with Dogs❓
Yes, currently living with a large dog and doing very well.
Cats❓🐈 Untested
Tux is a happy, people-loving sweetheart who’s winning hearts everywhere he goes.
He’s nearly fully potty trained (only one accident when his door signal was missed!) and is super smart—already learning the cues to sit, come, and down with ease.
He’s crate trained and sleeps through the night from 9:30 pm–6:45 am.
He loves small kids and is completely unbothered by the joyful chaos that comes with a busy household—noise, movement, and all. He’s all about cuddles, playtime, and being close to his people.
🏨 Despite previous injuries (a healed pelvic and leg fracture), Tux runs, jumps, and plays like a champ. His left leg is a bit weaker from muscle loss, but it doesn’t slow him down and will continue to get stronger with time. 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

Sophie
Boss Babe is here.
Sophie ❤️💗❤️💗 looking for forever!
Sophie is 7 years old.
📍Located in South Edmonton
Sophie is an chunky Miniature Pinscher mix with a BIG personality!
She loves to cuddle, play with other dogs 🐕, and go on adventures with you!
She would be best in a home without cats OR with a cat that is very dog savvy. She isn't the biggest fan. 🐈
She is best in a calmer home with no younger children. 🚸
She's even a pretty good passenger when it comes to car rides. 🚘
She surprised us by being fantastic with getting her nails done, while the opposite could be said about being moved when she is comfy, she gives a bit of attitude when that happens. 😆
She is very goofy and talkative, along with being vocal when she thinks there is a need to protect the house!
She makes the funniest noises and if allowed will find the oddest places to sleep (she even slept on our table once when we left some coats on it! We make sure the chairs are pushed in now haha).
Like many seniors, this dog(s) may experience age-related health changes in the future and will need an adopter ready to support them through their golden years. ✨

Hugo
💔"Doesn't anyone want to take me in and 💕 love me forever!?"💔 - Hugo
Hugo is a survivor from a litter of pups that fell ill to parvo. His siblings didn't make it 😢 but Hugo held strong and has been thriving in his foster home. Now, he waits for his Forever Family to swoop in to get him for forever cuddles and kisses.
Hugo is...
About 13-14 weeks old.
Breed Best Guess: Shepherd/Rottweiler/Husky Mix
📍Located in Westlock County
(fosters do also travel to Spruce Grove on occasion).
Will be a large adult dog.
Still a puppy, learning his manners.
He's doing well with his crate training and his house training.
More from his Foster Family:
Hugo is fairly good with kids.
However, he does push boundaries and nip a bit at our 4 year old son. Those puppy shark teeth! He'll learn those boundaries as he grows.
With cats, he loves playing with them.
But, he does nip a bit as he's learning. He is really good with one of our cats who loves him specifically. 🐈
🐕Great with dogs, we have a few.
He is very good at playing with them.
And, knows to retreat to us if it becomes too much!
He is good with chickens and pigs! He's very curious about the cows at this foster home too.
He currently sits before he is allowed to have his food and typically will sit just on cue. I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up being a bit of a couch potato 🥔 as he just really wants to lay with you for the most part.
😴He sleeps in a crate, if he is alone, he is quite anxious and yelps. However, if he is beside one of our dogs, he does not seem to mind as they are sleeping in a crate next to him.
Not a shy pupper whatsoever, very adventurous, very playful, very happy. 😀
👠He is very interested in shoes, so we have to be on top of that, as he tries to steal them.

Elliot
"Look at me, look at me!" - Elliot
👀👀👀👀👀
Elliot is a 10 year old Miniature Pinscher mix who weighs about 15 pounds and is totally housetrained. 🚽
📍She is currently residing with her foster family in the neighbourhood of Greenfield in NW Edmonton.
🐕She is good with dogs at the dog park or at home.
Elliot is, however, quite reactive to dogs when she is on leash when out for walks, typically barking excessively.
She enjoys her walks but does pull a bit on the leash.
Untested with children and cats. 😺
She is very people oriented and has not met a lap that she does not want to curl up on.
Elliot’s favourite things are eating, playing ball and cuddling with her people.
She recently had dental work, so is eating her kibble soaked in warm water, which she really enjoys!
She will play ball ⚽ all day long and is very good at bringing the ball to you and including everyone in her game.
For a dog that is reportedly 10 years old, she is very quick and agile.
💤When Elliot naps or sleeps at night, she likes to be under a blanket and close to her person.
She will let you know she wants to go under the blanket by scratching you on the arm so you can lift the blanket.
Elliot is left to roam the house when we go out and she has done well.
She will often sleep on the back of the couch, in the front window, to watch for our return and is always very happy to see us.
She does not enjoy car 🚗 rides and will shake the whole way to the destination but is better on the way home.
Elliot will chase and bark at the vacuum and the mop but does so in a playful manner. She will also bark at people who come to the home but once she is comfortable she will look to sit in their laps.
Elliot is an amazingly sweet dog who wants to be close to her people at all times. When she wants your attention, wants to play ball, eat, or go outside, she will dance for you.
She loves to cuddle and give kisses and genuinely seems happy to be in a home. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
