Adoptable Dogs

New Girl on the Block!

Nala here, looking for forever 🥰

Nala's Details:

Age: Born at the beginning of October, 2025
Breed: Alberta Special Mix!
Size: Will be a large-sized adult
Located: East Edmonton 📍

Good with Dogs? 🐕
Yes. She is being fostered with a small, grumpy, senior dog and has been BRILLIANT with her. She has met many dogs of varied ages / sizes and has been respectful to all and has taken any corrections from dogs appropriately.

Good with Cats? 🐱 Untested

Good with Kids? 🩷
Yes, but would recommend older kids as she is a big, strong, derpy pup that is still learning not to mouth people’s hands AND has not learned that jumping on people is unacceptable….we are working on this and will be happy to share our force free approach to both situations!

She is spayed, dewormed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines! 💉

House training is coming along nicely, but is not 100% yet. She is keen to learn, so I expect any day! 🚽

Nala will need a detached home, as she can be quite vocal 🎵when she is not pleased with something. She does NOT like to be separated from her people….even for a minute… and will let the whole neighbourhood know when she has suffered such an injustice!!

Although we are only guessing her breed, she IS, without a doubt, a working dog and is highly intelligent. Her new family will need to be willing to provide both physical and mental stimulation to
 a) keep her out of trouble
b) give her the life she absolutely deserves.

It would be in Nala’s best interest to find a person/family who is experienced with, and fully appreciates working breeds.

She attaches to her people hard and fast and when her needs are met, she is a delightful companion who has so much potential!

Nala sleeps 💤 in a crate beside our bed. It still takes a bit of time for her to settle, but when she is asleep, it is until morning.

She is working on kennel training and realizing she can’t be a part of ABSOLUTELY everything, so kind and constructive activities to keep her brain engaged will help her settle.

Due to her recent spay surgery we have not done any off leash work, but her response to “come” is strong and I think once she has bonded with her new people, off leash trails are a real possibility! 💕

"So, you've met my brother Butters, now it's my time to shine!" 🌟 - MJ

This adorable Chihuahua–Dachshund mix is about 5-6 months old and looking for a patient, loving home.

He’s a gentle little guy who loves being close to his people and enjoys the company of other dogs.

He’s still a bit timid, but he’s slowly gaining confidence and coming out of his shell more each day. Once he feels safe, his sweet personality really shines.

A few things about him:
 • Loves being around his people
 • Gets along well with other dogs 🐕
 • Learning how to play and be a puppy
 • Very cuddly and couch snuggles are his favourite
 • Very food motivated and loves to eat
 • Sleeps through the night in his kennel or in an x-pen
 • Can be left in x-pen alone for short periods of time while you're away
 • Still working on his Housetraining (marking) but he does his #2 on pee pads
 • Has not been tested with kids 👧 or cats 😺 yet

He would do best in a calm, loving home that will give him time to continue building his confidence and showing the sweet, affectionate boy he is.

🌸🌺Meet Maisie & Marnie – The Perfect Little Pair🌺🌸

Maisie and Marnie are a sweet bonded duo looking for a loving home together. These two girls complement each other beautifully — where one is a little shy, the other is confidently curious, and together they make the perfect team.

Maisie (9 years old) is the gentle, chihuahua mix of the pair. She’s a little more timid when meeting new people or trying new things, but once she feels safe she becomes a very loyal and loving companion. Maisie especially enjoys being carried in a sling, where she feels secure and close to her person.

Marnie (4 years old) is the outgoing Pomeranian mix who brings a little spark of confidence to the pair. She’s friendly, food-motivated, and eager to learn, which makes her easy to train and quick to bond with her humans.

Both girls weigh about 12 lbs and are a perfect small size for apartment or house living.

The Good Stuff

• Both are spayed
• Crate trained and house trained
• Comfortable using pee pads
• Great on leash
• Excellent in the car
• Good with other dogs
• Quiet in the house (they’ll only bark when someone arrives)
• Great on stairs

Kids & Other Pets

• Marnie is comfortable with kids of all ages
• Maisie would prefer a home with older, calmer children
• Good with other dogs
• Cats are unknown

Personality

Maisie and Marnie truly enjoy each other’s company. They like to play together and often check in to see where the other one is. While they prefer to stay together, they can be separated if needed with only minimal whining.

They’re both a little picky with food and tend to prefer wet food or meals with meat and vegetables in gravy.

Maisie will be having dental work completed, but otherwise both girls are healthy and ready to find their forever family.

The Perfect Home

These two would thrive in a calm home where they can stay together and continue enjoying their little routines — walks, cozy naps, and keeping each other company.

If you’re looking for double the love in a small package, Maisie and Marnie might be your perfect match.

Introducing Jovie 🌼- this sweetie is ready for her forever family.

Her Details:
Female ❤️

Breed: American Staffordshire Terrier (best guess)

Age: Approximately 9 months old

📍Location: Devon

Size: Medium — likely fully grown

✅Kids: Absolutely loves kids

✅Dogs: Loves having a dog friend but does not require another dog in the home, she's okay on her own too.

❓Cats: Untested with cats, but I don’t believe she would mind them

🏥🩺💊Note about Medical Concerns: 💊🩺🏥
Jovie has been diagnosed with osteochondrosis dissecans (OCD) of the left tarsal (ankle) joint. Her prognosis for full joint recovery and function is guarded, and she may experience intermittent or persistent lameness over time, with an increased risk of developing osteoarthritis as she ages. The EHS medical team has consulted with a veterinary surgeon regarding her diagnosis and long-term management. Ongoing care may include weight management, activity modification, joint supplementation, and potential surgical intervention depending on progression.

We think Jovie can have good quality of life with a prudent caretaker who will continue monitoring and treating any symptoms as they arise.

Other details from her foster:
Jovie is kennel trained and fully house trained. 🏆

She truly lives life to the fullest every single day — happy-go-lucky, endlessly sweet, and never grumpy. She has such a joyful spirit and brings so much love wherever she goes. She adores being close to her people and is hands-down one of the best little snugglers you could ask for. 😘

She’s a very special girl with a big heart ❤️ and so much love to give.

Big ol' Benny 💙 a senior boy with lots of love to give! 💙

Benny is a senior of approximately 13 years of age.

Our best guess is that he's a Pug Mix.

📍Location:
Edmonton (Windermere area)

Approximate Size:
About 40-45 pounds of slightly chunky, very huggable perfection

Good with Kids:👦🏻
Yes ✅

Good with Dogs:🐩
Yes ✅

Good with Cats: 😸
Yes ✅

Are you looking for the sweetest certified couch potato?
Benny may be your guy!

This handsome senior boy is a gentle soul. He is easygoing and gets along with everyone and anything he meets.

Benny's favourite things include long naps, cuddles, evening walks, food time and being close to his humans. He bonds deeply with his people and would do best in a calm home where he is not left alone all day.

Benny came from a hoarding situation and finds comfort in being around others. While he does not need another pet to be happy, he enjoys sharing space with the dogs and cats in his foster home and often chooses to rest nearby.

He does not like closed spaces, likely due to his past, and does best free roaming rather than being crated or in a closed space.

At his age, Benny does need bathroom breaks a bit more often than a younger dog and would benefit from being in a home where he can be provided a flexible schedule.

Benny has a collapsed trachea that is managed with medication. 💊 This simply means he will need an adopter who can continue his care and support him through his golden years. ** He will likely need a dental once his weight and trachea issues have been managed…this will be at the cost of the future adopter.
He is comfortable, happy and very much enjoying life.

Benny is looking for his forever retirement home, a calm and loving place where he can nap, cuddle and have the happily ever after he truly deserves.

Like many seniors, this dog(s) may experience age-related health changes in the future and will need an adopter ready to support them through their golden years. ✨

Boss Babe is here.

Sophie ❤️💗❤️💗 looking for forever!

Sophie is 7 years old.

📍Located in South Edmonton

Sophie is an chunky Miniature Pinscher mix with a BIG personality!

She loves to cuddle, play with other dogs 🐕, and go on adventures with you!

She would be best in a home without cats OR with a cat that is very dog savvy. She isn't the biggest fan. 🐈

She is best in a calmer home with no younger children. 🚸

She's even a pretty good passenger when it comes to car rides. 🚘

She surprised us by being fantastic with getting her nails done, while the opposite could be said about being moved when she is comfy, she gives a bit of attitude when that happens. 😆

She is very goofy and talkative, along with being vocal when she thinks there is a need to protect the house!

She makes the funniest noises and if allowed will find the oddest places to sleep (she even slept on our table once when we left some coats on it! We make sure the chairs are pushed in now haha).

💟 Sweet Senior Elliot Looking for Her Forever Home 💟

Elliot is a 10-year-old Miniature Pinscher mix weighing about 15 pounds. She’s fully housetrained and is currently residing with her foster family in northwest Edmonton. 📍

🐕 Elliot can do well with other dogs. She tends to be more comfortable meeting dogs in open spaces, such as a fenced dog park or backyard, rather than the typical on-leash greetings during walks. Slow introductions are best.

🐾 Elliot has not been tested with cats. She has also not been tested with small children, but we feel she would do best in a home with older children (15+) who can respect her space and gentle senior nature.
She is a very people-oriented little lady who has never met a lap she didn’t love. Elliot’s favourite things are playing ball, cuddling with her people, and mealtime. ⚽❤️
For a senior, Elliot is surprisingly quick and playful and would happily chase a ball all day.

💤 When it’s time to rest, Elliot loves to snuggle under a blanket beside her person and will gently tap your arm so you can tuck her in.
She may bark when someone first arrives but warms up quickly and is happy to climb into their lap for cuddles.

Elliot is an incredibly sweet girl who truly just wants to be close to her people and enjoy her golden years in a loving home. ✨
