Nala

New Girl on the Block!

Nala here, looking for forever 🥰

Nala's Details:

Age: Born at the beginning of October, 2025
Breed: Alberta Special Mix!
Size: Will be a large-sized adult
Located: East Edmonton 📍

Good with Dogs? 🐕
Yes. She is being fostered with a small, grumpy, senior dog and has been BRILLIANT with her. She has met many dogs of varied ages / sizes and has been respectful to all and has taken any corrections from dogs appropriately.

Good with Cats? 🐱 Untested

Good with Kids? 🩷
Yes, but would recommend older kids as she is a big, strong, derpy pup that is still learning not to mouth people’s hands AND has not learned that jumping on people is unacceptable….we are working on this and will be happy to share our force free approach to both situations!

She is spayed, dewormed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines! 💉

House training is coming along nicely, but is not 100% yet. She is keen to learn, so I expect any day! 🚽

Nala will need a detached home, as she can be quite vocal 🎵when she is not pleased with something. She does NOT like to be separated from her people….even for a minute… and will let the whole neighbourhood know when she has suffered such an injustice!!

Although we are only guessing her breed, she IS, without a doubt, a working dog and is highly intelligent. Her new family will need to be willing to provide both physical and mental stimulation to
a) keep her out of trouble
b) give her the life she absolutely deserves.

It would be in Nala’s best interest to find a person/family who is experienced with, and fully appreciates working breeds.

She attaches to her people hard and fast and when her needs are met, she is a delightful companion who has so much potential!

Nala sleeps 💤 in a crate beside our bed. It still takes a bit of time for her to settle, but when she is asleep, it is until morning.

She is working on kennel training and realizing she can’t be a part of ABSOLUTELY everything, so kind and constructive activities to keep her brain engaged will help her settle.

Due to her recent spay surgery we have not done any off leash work, but her response to “come” is strong and I think once she has bonded with her new people, off leash trails are a real possibility! 💕
