Leo ♌

Leo has come a long way since arriving in our care! His journey began after he was suspected of being hit by a vehicle, with concerns about possible drug intoxication. He was originally living with an unhoused individual, and we knew he needed care, time, and a chance to recover.

We’re happy to share that Leo’s follow-up bloodwork shows his liver values are now back to normal, and his X-rays have cleared him of any concerns requiring further follow-up! ❤️

Leo is now ready to begin his journey with a family that will continue to give him the love, cuddles and comfort that makes him feel safe.

Leo is 3 years old. 🫛
He is a Poodle Mix 🐩 and that means he'll have some grooming requirements.

Located in Beaumont 📍
He's about 15 lbs in weight.

Leo is good with other dogs 🐕 after proper introductions and an adjustment period.
Leo is untested with 🐈s but he did spot one at a recent event and while he barked at it at first, he did look on with curiousity afterwards, so if it's a dog savvy cat it could work out.
Leo is good with kids 👧 who are older and are dog savvy.

Leo is the snuggliest little bug 🪲 his foster Mama has ever fostered! She thinks he may be part Barnacle!

Leo has taken time to get used to his foster fur siblings 🐩🐩🐩 (all smaller breed dogs close to his size) and he's doing well now but he can bark and snap at other dogs at first meet and needs some time to adjust and feel safe around other dogs. He has recently started to play with his one foster fur sibling and toys. He loves a good Benebone! 🍖🦴🍖🦴

Leo is great with doing 95% of his business outdoors - only a couple accidents in the house and he is good with barking or going to the back door when he needs out. He doesn't like to be out too long either.

🔒He does NOT like to be confined! He freaks out in a kennel or crate and barks incessantly when he is left in an X-pen and jumps out if he can. He is great free-roaming! He has been left a few times free roaming at his foster home and there were no messes and no destruction. He likes to look out the window.

💤At bedtime Leo needs to be snuggled in your bed with you. 🛌😴

In the 🚗 he is pretty good when buckled into a seat with his harness. He likes to be next to you for some pets though if possible!

He walks well on a leash.
