Kids❓Untested but as she has walked by them in her neighbourhood and she tends to growl and bark at the loud, boisterous play. So, she may be best with a house with older children.
Dogs ❓ She would do better with smaller dogs her size. She does bark and will be afraid when we see other dogs while out walking.
Cats ❓Untested
What her Foster Mama says about her:
Leela is a super cuddly loving dog.
She loves curling up and sleeping 😴 with me on the couch and at bed time.
She loves to fetch and does get zoomies with my other dog until the playing becomes too exited as my dog is a little bigger.
She would do best either alone with a loving human or with a friend her size.
🥧 She is a treat and food lover but has been free fed while with me witn my other dog in the house with no over eating or resource guarding.
She does enjoy a good chewie.
She will cruise the coffee table for food and at times cannot resist taking a taste if I’m not paying attention 🤭.
She recognizes the sit cue and is gentle while taking treats.
🚽She is pee pad and outside trained for the most part but has been showing marking behaviours the last few days. We have been continuing to work on this with good observation and frequent trips outside to enforce the bathroom outside behaviour.
She loves to go for 🚗 rides and sits quietly and contently as long as she can see me and i am close. We did try a carrier while in the car and she did not like that one bit.
She walks well on a leash and enjoys short walks outside. She was very sensitive to noise and the busy street but has since adjusted and now walks around proudly and confidently.
