Willa is a deaf little dynamo with a huge heart and an even bigger personality! This smart, affectionate girl is looking for an active family who will include her in life’s adventures and help her continue learning through visual cues, touch, and routine.

She’s incredibly intelligent and eager to please. Willa has already learned hand signal cues such as sit, kennel, and touch, and she picks up new things quickly. Because she experiences the world differently, she relies on her humans for guidance and reassurance, and she loves being close to her people.

• Good with dogs: Yes! She loves both big and small dogs and matches their play style well.
• Good with kids: Yes.
• Good with cats: No. Her prey drive makes her unsuitable for a home with cats.
• Potty trained: Yes.
• Crate trained: Yes. She sleeps through the night in her crate and travels well in it.
• No food aggression. She shares beautifully.

Her Perfect Home

Willa thrives with structure, enrichment, and regular downtime. Like many high-energy, intelligent dogs, she sometimes needs help remembering it’s okay to rest. With consistency and routine, she’ll flourish.

She would love a home with a confident, respectful canine companion to help show her the ropes. She enjoys having another dog around and learns by watching them.

Because she adores her people, Willa would do best with a family that is home often. If her family works full-time outside the home, doggy daycare or another enrichment plan would be an important part of her routine.

• Walks nicely on leash and has no leash reactivity.
• Affectionate, playful, and friendly with everyone she meets.
• Loves making her crate cozy by rearranging her blankets.
• Has even helped as a calm “decoy dog” for dogs working through leash reactivity training.
