Hello, my name is Sage! 🌿

I am 8 Months Old!
A German Shepherd/Husky Mix

🧒🏽Best in a home with older children.
🐩 Great with other dogs but I did show some resource guarding in my previous home with my doggy siblings and so, I may be best as the solo dog in the house or with an owner who is willing to work with me on my resource guarding. I am doing great in doggy daycare!
😺 Have not shown aggression towards the cats I've been around and there were cats in my previous home.

🌿 I am sweet, so smart 🤓 and absolutely gorgeous!
🌿 I am full of energy and ready for adventure!
🌿 I also love to chill with a good cuddle and belly rub.
🌿 I looooove food
🌿 I love to tear apart my stuffies and give my hoooomans lots of kisses! 😘
🌿 I am house trained and have been working on tricks for treats.
🌿 My foster mom leaves me unsupervised when she goes to work and I am so good! She comes home to how she left it, unless I got my paws on a stuffy...then youll be picking up all the fluff, so sorry in advance!
🌿 I know my cues to sit, lay down, shake a paw, through (through your legs and sit), spin and we're working on backing up so I can do the next step of backward circles around you!

🌿I do need reminders to not snatch treats out of your hand but just say gentle, and I am!

🌿 I love to use my nose so my foster mom has been hiding chicken/treats around for me to find and because I'm so smart I always find it!
🌿I also love my kong filled with peanut butter and having some of my food in a snuffle mat for a little mental stimulation.

My dream home would have a nice yard so I can run around and play with jolly ball and maybe have a kiddy pool so I can frolic in the water and I require paw-rents that are ready for fun and adventure, will give me all the love, structure and ongoing training!

🐕‍🦺 I do have leash reactivity! I am not aggressive, but more frustrated that I'm not able to go where I want.

My foster mom says that I have been getting better but this will require work! Foster mom is always on the lookout out so when we see another dog on our walks, we get off the path and go about 20 feet and she starts throwing treats in the grass and calmly talks me through that they are just walking by and it's okay! I'm not going to lie, my leash manners and recall are not the best. I used to pull hard all the time, now I pull about 25% of the time so there has been so much progress, but, I will need ongoing training with being on leash in general.
