👧Andy is best with older kids who will respect his space and are willing to earn his trust slowly. He enjoys his 11 year old human foster sister, but younger kids that move quickly have overwhelmed him.
🐕Dogs?: Yes, with slow introductions
😽Cats?: Untested
🚽Housetraining: We're working on it. He will go outside or use pee pads pretty consistently, but still has accidents.
🎧Noise: For a little guy he has quite a big bark, so he may not be suited for apartment living.
🥰Andy is a shy but happy and energetic little boy that loves attention from his people. His confidence is growing, but he still needs a slow approach from people and dogs to feel comfortable.
❤️Andy would benefit from someone who can help build his confidence. He is still working on his manners with his furry foster friends, but is improving each day.
🐕He would enjoy a patient but playful doggy sibling to keep teaching him the ropes.
Andy has FOMO and wants to go where you're going. He will do whatever he can to make sure he gets to go too - except put his harness on without being a squirmy worm. 😅
When he does have to stay home alone with his furry foster siblings he seems to settle quickly (he's been quiet on the camera).

🤕When he came into care, every inch of Andy's coat was matted. It was obvious he was very uncomfortable and even in pain from the mats being tight to his skin. Andy had likely never been groomed before - or perhaps even brushed - and our wonderful (professional) volunteer groomer had no choice but to shave him. Even with a patient and gentle hand, this was an overwhelming experience for Andy and it had to be completed in two sessions.

Andy will need regular brushing and grooming, but it will take time and patience to get him comfortable with this.
